Hello my name is Danny Aguilar. I am a Professional Educator, Graphic Designer, and Artist. With over 30 years experience in art and design. Art Director for Pacific Bell corporation, teacher for Career Technical Education and a traditional artist. A proud Chicano born in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Raised in the Eastside barrio of Boyle Heights.
A passion for drawing as a child grew with inspiration from my high school art teacher at Roosevelt High School. She encouraged me to develop my talents as a budding artist and pursue a graphic design career in college. After graduating from Roosevelt
I obtained a degree in Graphic Design and landed a job as an Art Director with Pacific Bell.
After a long career as an Art Director a friend convinced me to teach an evening vocational design class, I was hooked. I loved the experience of teaching, helping and mentoring students learn jobs skills. I taught at the North Orange County Regional Occupational program, The East Los Angeles Occupational Center and I am currently enjoying teaching a Digital Graphic Design program at Montclair High School in Montclair, CA.
I continue creating art and teaching our youth. I am working on a special art project
that pays homage to the barrios that make up the Eastside of Los Angeles.
